GoodNight

GoodNight is a mobile application designed to enhance sleep quality and wake-up routines. It features a sleep tracker powered by a gyroscope sensor to monitor sleep stages, a smart alarm clock that only deactivates in a well-lit room, and a curated playlist of deep sleep music with hands-free controls for ease of use. By addressing common sleep challenges, GoodNight helps users fall asleep faster, wake up effectively, and gain insights into their sleep patterns for a healthier lifestyle.

Sleep Quality Monitoring

The app uses a gyroscope sensor to track body movement frequencies during sleep, indicating sleep stages.

Steps are:

  • Start sleep monitoring by placing the phone beside your pillow and clicking “Start Sleep.”

  • Movements are recorded, the message "Is Shaking" appears.

  • Upon waking, click the "End Sleep" button to stop monitoring and view total sleep time.

Smart Alarm Clock

This function ensures users wake up fully by incorporating a light sensor to prevent oversleeping. Users can set an alarm by scrolling to their desired time and clicking “Set Alarm.” When the alarm rings in a dark room, the app prompts the user to turn on the lights. The alarm will not stop until the room is sufficiently bright
